Day Fifty-Four
The cake is gone. Praise be.
I saw the cake plate on the counter above the dishwasher this morning, and hurriedly put it into the dishwasher without picking up any of the crumbs on it.
I only had thirty-six minutes on the elliptical, but I burned over 300 calories, and went 2.67 miles. I also weight-lifted and did full abs. The weight-lifting was a little challenging, because a woman hollered at me from another machine that she was "still on" one of the machines I needed for a minute. She rushed back to protect it from me, while I mumbled, "I'm sorry," and put it back to the weight she had had it at. She is not new to the gym, so I wonder a little bit about her not realizing that we all share the equipment. I heard her yell at someone else a few minutes later. I know it's frustrating to have other people get on something you still have to do some reps on, but, you know. That's life. I didn't make a fuss, though. I'm choosing carefully what I fuss about, these days.
I wore another skirt I couldn't wear a few weeks ago. This project is not without merit or efficacy. I felt heavy and sluggish today, though, even though yesterday, I felt relatively fit and fabulous.
I am making a buffalo chicken salad tonight, which might help me feel less sluggish tomorrow than I have felt today. A girl can dream.
In the morning, or maybe in the night, I will put on my new suit and take it for a swim.
