Day One Hundred Two
I think fasting in the morning is every bit as hard as not eating sugar. Particularly when it takes ten minutes for my computer at work to come up. I have nothing to do.
I tried to go to sleep very early last night, and, in fact, did, but was awakened a few times by the people I live with. My daughter took an hour and a half to get home, and, knowing she was about to arrive, I couldn't doze back off.
So, when I opened my eyes for the last time, it was quite light outside, and I knew that, dang it, I was late. I hurried to the gym, and I did do twenty-two minutes on the elliptical AND weight-lift one double set of each thing AND do my morning abs. Yesterday, with only twenty minutes total at the gym, I just stayed on the elliptical the whole time. My weight was back down to the **1. Hopefully, it will keep going down.
I thought about waiting through the day to see if anything sugary was offered at work, but succumbed to the candy bar that I have been keeping with my vanilla cookie-cake. I was given them both on the same day, and popped them into the same drawer. It was a Snickers bar made with almonds--and I'm not a fan, now that I have tried it--but it won out. I did feel kind of bad eating a whole candy bar, but I did not eat to excess and get really full.
I think that I will not plan to eat anything with sugar in it, see if something happens at work, and then, if not, maybe have a piece of Easter candy. I do not need to eat sugar every day, after all.
I had my two eggs, a peach, a handful of almonds, a slice of cheese pizza offered me by a coworker, some cucumber slices, and a salmon patty. So I ate plenty, but, I hope, not too much. I made a green salad and homemade mac and cheese for dinner, and struggled to not eat too much of the latter. It was really good, but I did okay.
Last night, my right foot also hurt too much for me to sleep. Mark gave it a deep rub, and that helped.
