Day Ninety-Two
I did not go to the pool in the night. I bought some nail polish remover and got the super glue off my fingers.
I did, however, go to the gym this morning and got a decent workout. I did abs and weight-lifted at least three sets of each of the eight things in this routine. I also logged fifty-five minutes on the elliptical. I have noticed that the more weight-lifting is making me tighter in different places around my torso. And I am doing more weight-lifting than I probably otherwise would. I've almost always weight-lifted in the past twenty-five years, but I am admitting to myself that I have been a little lazy lately. I've done just one or two sets of each thing instead of three. I think what happened is that I started doing four sets of everything, and I didn't like that--it was too much. More than I wanted to do all the time. And I got hurt. And I have all these weird tendon and ligament problems everywhere. It's a few things.
I went to a funeral this morning, and it was weird not to eat first, but it wasn't time yet. So the first thing I ate today, actually, was a couple of Costco samples. Nothing with sugar, of course. I averted my eyes when Mark went after an "original Creamies' sample.
When we got home, I heated up the leftover Spanish rice for our lunches, and, though that was a pretty ample serving, I am surprised how full it made me. I got out some cherries to snack on in the late afternoon, and I could barely finish them. Honestly, I should have taken this huge hint, but I had just bought some new fruit at Costco, and it was too tempting, so I did make some oatmeal for supper. I probably didn't need it. I kind of wish I had just skipped supper altogether. Mark had soup.
I might not even make a cocoa, and, you guys, that's serious. I am just full.
Update: my weight is fine. Nothing new to report, but nothing gained, either.
