Day Seventy-Nine

I did it!  I managed to fast until dinner, even though I have been "fasting" mornings for more than a week.  I also-finally--dropped that last pound so that I have lost ten whole pounds.  Geez.

I made the lemon bars from the no-sugar cookbook again today.  I made the crust before church and the filling before I made dinner.  I napped after church, but my phone was buzzing with texts again, and Mark brought it in to me.  He helped me make dinner, which was stir-fry with rice, and cooked zucchini.  I might not have had the energy to make dinner if he hadn't helped me. My daughter called me for advice with a problem while I was cooking, too, and my energy was really spent by the time the meal was made.

I had a moderate serving of each item, then rested again while my blood sugar caught up.  I had probably three squares of the lemon bars before I finally felt like I had filled up.  That's okay--they had no sugar in them, and this was my only meal of the day.

It was great to have my children back with me tonight.  Mark cut up a watermelon, and I had only a very small amount, but my boys enjoyed it.
